Brick House churchill
" She's a brick house, mighty might just lettin' it all hang out. She's a brick house. The lady's stacked and that's a fact, ain't holding nothing back." That's how one of my favorite funk tunes ever starts, but it is also a cigar brand with lots of history. JC Newman started the JC Newman cigar company in 1895 and one of his earliest brands was "Brick House" which was a tribute to his childhood house, the only brick house in the village. The original Brick House cigars were Cuban puros but the new Brick House, recreated by JC Newman's grandsons Eric and Bobby is a non Cuban with Nicaraguan filler and binder and a Havana Subido wrapper.
The cigar, a 7¼x50 churchill, looks awesome. The band is simple yet classic and stylish. The cigar is triple capped and has a nice and shiny, oily wrapper with a few minor veins. I smell a strong barnyard aroma. The construction feels good and the predraw is fine. I taste a full flavored raisin flavor with some pepper. I taste a spicy coffee flavor, mild bitter and right after that a huge dose of pepper. The pepper fades away soon after though and the cigar becomes flat in flavors. After an inch and a half I taste dry wood, all other flavors have gone. Soon after I can also taste some leather but the dry wood is the main flavor. After ⅔ the leather disappears and I still taste the dry wood but now with some earthy flavors. At the and I can also taste some herbs. This cigar lasted and lasted, it took me 2 hours and fifteen minutes to finish it. The smoke is quite thin, and the amount of smoke is a bit poor too. The draw is fine, just like the burn. The ash is light colored, firm and compact. This cigar is medium to full flavored, medium to full bodied and quite monotoneus. Would I buy this cigar again? No, next time I want a brick house, I will grab "the best of the Commodores" and crank up the volume. Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 7 / 10 Draw: 7 / 10 Burn: 8 / 10 Smoke & ash: 6 / 10 Aroma first part: 6 / 10 Aroma second part: 7 / 10 Aroma third part: 6 / 10

Re: Brick House churchill
Thanks for the review! I have had the Toro and enjoyed it; I usually do not go for the longer sticks like the Churchills...
