Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
So I am heading to an outdoor wedding this afternoon..... Decided to go with a lighter suit, but having difficulty with the shirt/tie combination....
Thoughts???? Usually my dear wife would make this decision, but I will leave it up to the Asylum, as she is not here..... |

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
Being the old fart I am and less colorful at this stage, I would take 3.

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
Suit 1 with tie 1 or tie 3. second choice would be suit 2 with tie 3. I don't like tie 2 at all, I think it's too busy with the 2 different patterns and diagonal stripes. Have fun!

Go with number 2. It's a wedding, not an interview

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
Why wear a tie? Go shirt 1 no tie
Or I'd say shirt 3 with tie 2. If shirt 3 has the same light blue as the light blue in tie 2. I think the matching of colors with shirt 2 and tie 2 just seems off for that suit

Combo #1. Purple is the new black.

I think #1 or #2 would be just fine, but don't forget a pocket square; a suit is naked without one.

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
Combo Number 2 is the most spirited and joyful combo for such an event. Number 3 is Euro day time at the job.

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
Thanks for all the replies..... Have about an hour before I have to start getting dialed in..... Plenty of time for a cigar....
Sure.... ...That is the reason for the lighter suit.... I rarely go away from Charcoal or Black... Quote:
Should have done a blue combo as well I guess. I was trying to be colorful with the outdoor wedding.... Not that blue is not colorful, it just seems more formal to me than the above.... |

Re: Pick the Shirt/Tie Combination
If you have a shirt that is the same blue as in tie 2, that would be the clear winner for me. Take it from a stylish 23 year old
I do like this purple shirt with silver tie tho
