Night Vision
Hey guys need some help here. Just started working the night shift and will be spending significant amounts of time laid up in the middle of no where looking for people crossing the Rio Grande. I need a good set of night vision goggles and was hoping some of you guys might offer some recommendations. I would like ones that light up green and not gray. Here are three I am leaning towards.

Re: Night Vision
You don’t need night vision goggles, you need a night scope on a sniper rifle. Good luck.

I think you must have 2010 confused with Cicago in 1968.

Gen II or Gen III are really the only way to go if you don't want eye fatigue.

Those are the exact units they have at the armory for us to check out. They work pretty damn good. I ended up going with a pair of Gen 1 Bushnells that got really good reviews. I can return them if they don't perform good. I basically want them to see whats around me animal wise as they have a bunch of nasty things in my area of responsibility and to detect any movement I see.

Re: Night Vision
We can check them out each night before our shift starts but I would rather be responsible for my own pair. If we bust a 5k dollar pair its a whole set of bs that I don't want to go through.
