More great news - The last bird flew the coop today!
The last of the children finally moved out today. Like many things to do with the children, there are always mixed emotions. Fear, sorrow, joy, pride and happiness are all experienced, often all at the same time. As parents you hope they are as smart as they think they are, as fearless as they appear and wish them well. She has been talking about it for months but I knew it was serious when they started looking at a place last week for the second time. The boyfriend showed up yesterday with a truck for the bed so I knew it was serious this time.
4 years ago I bought the wife a dog since the daughter was going to go off to school and the wife was showing signs of empty nest syndrome. She never left, stayed home with us and went to the local school. The good news, we live in a 3 floor townhouse and she had the whole 3rd floor. Next weekend it becomes the shipping department and smoking room Chas |
