asylum skinned phone
Got a new cell phone which came with an offer for a free "skin".
First thought was to use the asylum banner. Then thought about it some more and instead of just a photo, thought I would try a wood grain, to make it look it was part of the phone, not just painted on. Edited the silhouette to try to look burned in. After some thought, work, and the order arrived... Not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it! |

That is neat Julian.
BTW, I had no idea regular phones still existed.

Very cool! I was about to ask you what is up with the snow/ground your phone is on then I looked closer and realized it was your granite countertops. With that being said I am going to get a much needed coffee.

From the looks of the sites they MIGHT actually be the same outfit but I can't tell for sure. Mine was free but it looks like for purchase, the code NEWYEAR25 would get 25% off at skinit... Also if anyone did want to do a group buy, it looks like buying in quantity gets you like 33% off: http://www.skinit.com/landing_page.php?id=SC_bundle Might not be enough more than 25% off to bother though. |

Re: asylum skinned phone
Agreed...hell, I'd like AT&T around here in general; although I've heard their customer service is lacking greatly compared to Verizon.
Still, I'd buy an iPhone if I wasn't afraid a software update would render it useless if it detected that the phone was unlocked from its carrier. Ironically, I just upgraded early and got a BlackBerry Storm 2, so I had to pay for the privilege , and the damn USB port's bad or something, so I had to call in for an exchange phone. But, CS was good...technology seems to be lacking any more. To get back on track, I say Asylum skin group buy based on phone manufacturer either that, or we get someone to build us an actual wooden cellular, so that 'burnt-on' look is authentic - our phones could match our humidors =D! |
