Over a foot of rain in 24 hours.

If you were here, it would be 10 feet of snow. Consider yourself lucky, Carlos!

Re: Send a lifeboat.....South Florida is drowning
Don't you know Cubans are the best long distance swimmers ever? We can do a 90 mile swim in a heartbeat.
Yikes!!!

I asuume your patio is not flooded, so I am still jealous of your smoking environment, rain or shine!

I had to empty the overflowing pool last night in the middle of the rain. Water was creeping its way half way up my patio table where you were at. I emptied it again this morning and it is about two inches from overflowing again. It is really pouring now since I started this thread. I pissed someone off.

Good luck on the life boats, they are all owned and manned by Pats fans. NE folks are not the ones who are about to get screwed by this storm, VA to NY will have more of a problem. Seriously, hope that it dries out down your way soon.

Re: Send a lifeboat.....South Florida is drowning
I'm gonna come down and suffer through it from the 6th to the 13th.
I'm going a little further south though. Keep bailing, Carlos. I'd like it if you had it all cleaned up when I get there. And yeah, someone said it was supposed to snow crazy here today or tonight. I have four wheel drive and a thermostat on the wall. I just twist that thermostat thing and it's all just fine. If I have to go out, there's a thermostat thing in the four wheel drive, too.

Carlos... I would trade the cold for a torrential rainstorm and the opportunity to hang out with you and Clara in your flooded pool any day of the week.

Carlos, I know what you mean. I'm in Miami right now. Need to be in Weston tonight. Not looking forward to the drive.

Re: Send a lifeboat.....South Florida is drowning
As long as it's all clear in Orlando from the 25th-31st, it's all good. Hell, I suppose I'll take a little rain. Definitely better than the weather here right now!

The system is leaving us by tonight and headed northbound to cause some more problems up that way. I don't ever recall seeing so much rain, in December, our dry season, in South Florida. It has been something to witness.

Re: Send a lifeboat.....South Florida is drowning
Made it safe and sound back and forth from Kendall to Weston. On the plus side, I found a cigar bar there. Went in, purchased sticks, but didn't stick around. Didn't like the atmosphere. It was loud, crowded, and douchey in there.
