Pinar Del Rio Habano Sun Grown Robusto
Wrapper – Habano Sun -Grown / Dom. Rep
Binder – Habano / Dom. Rep Filler – Nicaraguan / Dom. Rep Very nice strong musty tobacco aroma. Very firm to the touch. One long vein down the front. Strong chocolaty aroma on the foot. First third Initially the smoke is slightly dry tasting with a mild tobacco flavor. Short cedar aftertaste. Peppery spice on the nose exhale. Staying consistent through first third with the inclusion of mocha on the aftertaste. Second third Good burn and draw. Still mostly tobacco flavors which pick up slightly in strength with the addition of some spices. Aftertaste becoming overwhelmingly deep mocha in flavor. Last third Increasing in strength across the entire spectrum of flavors. Very strong tasting at this point with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The bitterness really picks up near the end to something almost unbearable. Extremely heavy and deep flavors of tobacco, mocha, and intense pepper. Conclusion I enjoyed this cigar until it neared the end. The flavors were incredibly strong and it took on a bitterness that was eventually overpowering. I would like to revisit this stick in the future as I think this may have been an anomaly. |

Thanks for the review and photo's Luke. The handful that I've smoked to date have been very enjoyable, but lacking the bitterness issue. Give em a revisit in the future when you have time...

Re: Pinar Del Rio Habano Sun Grown Robusto
Thanks for the review. I have 1 left. The first one I smoked was too bitter, I think it was over humidified. I have to pitch it half way through. The one I smoked last night was wonderful. I hope the last one I have is as good as the one I has last night!
