Windows 7 Starter
I have looked at the netbook threads but didn't really find the answers I want. I am getting a netbook for Christmas from my parents and have it narrowed down to the Asus, HP, or Toshiba Mini NB205. All three come with Windows 7 starter and I have heard a bunch of negative reviews on this op system. Would it be better to get XP or 7? With 7 starter can I play DVD's if I have an external CD drive? Anyone upgrade their netbook to 7 professional? Thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Windows 7 Starter
I have a new Toshiba laptop (T195-S1309) that came with Win7 Home Premium and have had no issues. Granted I had to buy a external optic drive, but the price was reasonable ($550), light weight (<4 lbs.) and a 9 hour battery life. I went with this over a netbook because several reasons, mostly with due to more RAM, better HD space, larger screen from the netbooks (13.3" vs. 10") and of course the better battery life.
