It is becoming the default credential needed for project management professionals. It requires a lot of documentation and successful work history.
It would benefit you well if you plan on changing jobs or moving up in the field. |

I have done the classroom work and still compiling work history to join PMI and do the exam.
The PMBOK changed in June of this year however and the exam reflects the new PMBOK.
