Default For the dog

a friend sent this link to me about "why old dogs are the best dogs." I really enjoyed the story and thought there may be fellow dog lovers who would too.

http://www.theweek.com/article/index..._the_best_dogs

edit: the link doesn't seem to go to the article when accessed via my phone, but does when I use my laptop?.?.

Thanks. My Lab is 11 and her walking style is head kinda swaying, tail wagging, paying little or no attention to distractions. She loves her walks.

Thanks Chris. My German Shepherd, Ganz, is 9 1/2 now, and the article made me both happy and a little sad at the same time.

I love German Shepards I doubt we'll have another K-9 program since the last K-9 officer basically put it down the tubes. If we ever do I'm first on the list for it.

Great article

It was a good read regardless. And through the snopes article I found out about the foster pet program for members of the military. I'm going to look into signing up as a foster home.

I hate Snopes somedays. Sometimes you just need a good story. Fact or fiction be damned.

Thanks for the read, guys. Makes me appreciate my old dog a lil more.

It was very moving, so I hate Snopes right now too...but they have helped me more than they "hurt" me in the past, Crystal.

Since I actually get the Washington Post delivered - I have been a fan of Gene Weingarten for years. I don't always have time to read every paper and don't ever recall seeing that before - but it is now my favorite article from him.

Great article. My lab Dexter is 6 and has already started graying. Still acts like a puppy on walks though.
