Large RG not for me anymore
I dont know what I was thinking. I went on this large RG kick (52-60) which lasted a few months before returning to my favorite robusto. Tonight I lit up a 58 RG monster and cannot smoke the dam thing, about 45 minutes in and I swear my mouth hurts. No more large RG for me.

Re: Large RG not for me anymore
Well, I'd call that range "extra large" RG; your go-to robusto being a typical "large" RG candidate. I guess it's all relative, but your thread title made me think you were heading toward corona/lonsdale or lancero/panetela territory.

Re: Large RG not for me anymore
I would say 46-50 is middle these days (again subjective). As it turns out, this is what I like to smoke (sometimes a 52 works depending on the stick). But yeah, the "super" RG are too much of a mouth f#$k to be enjoyed, at least not by me.

Re: Large RG not for me anymore
In terms of consumed quantities, you're probably right, but from a production perspective, sizes still radiate (in both directions) from the middle-of-the-road corona.
I guess I don't really have a point, here, do I? What am I on about? How's P-town?

I don't smoke that

Re: Large RG not for me anymore
I was really enjoying the robusto and larger for a few years. After having the smaller sizes especially the lanceros I have changed my preference.

Re: Large RG not for me anymore
I agree with Craig, I used to smoke Robustos almost exclusively, but now thanks to the Lancero, I have shifted and smoke almost all 46 and less RG cigars. I have found that 42 is kinda my sweet spot before it gets a bit uncomfortable.
