Re: Have you ever had/heard of Sundrop?
Found a can of this left by a visiting baseball team at the place I work out at, very tasty stuff. Thanks for reminding me, now I have to find some more.

But of course we've heard of SUNDROP! I still stop by and get one at the convenience store about once a week when heading to the lake. Like it better than Mountain Dew...and of course the regular is good, but, not much difference between it and the diet.
Now....I've got one for you, how about Cheer Wine? Ever heard of it and/or had one? |

Oh Yes! Had it for the first time in 1974 in Blowing Rock, NC. Had to pull the glass bottle from one of the old rack on the side vending machines. To this day, that was probably the best soda pop I have ever tasted.

Re: Have you ever had/heard of Sundrop?
When I saw this was a poll, I had to ask WTF!!! Is there really any other than the regular???
A hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint I have been going to for better than 40 years serves Sundrop as the only bottled drink available (other soft drinks are fountain). Top Hat BBQ in Blount County has served Sundrop for as long as I can remember; and I have been eating there since I was a mere slip of a small boy. Forget the poll. Don't be swayed by the offerings of the other two flavors. Go for the green (yellow?)(Yellow/green??!!) goodness in its full color and calories (unless you are diabetic, then sugarfree is acceptable. But not the red stuff, for the love of all that is tasty!!!

Life wouldn't be the same without those two. Nothing like a Sundrop Slushy in the summer. Cheerwine is a takeoff of Cherry Wine, fwiw.

Re: Have you ever had/heard of Sundrop?
Sundrop is big up here in Wisconsin. In fact, local Twig's beverage in Shawano bottles the stuff.
Sundrop slushie is a great summer chiller.

Re: Have you ever had/heard of Sundrop?
Had a Sundrop yesterday in an old-style glass bottle. Best Sundrop I've ever had.

Re: Have you ever had/heard of Sundrop?
Sundrop is aces. It's by far the most true citrussy tasting drink that's supposed to be made to taste that way.
Now it can get old fast, so I like to balance it out with another bev. I can't drink two back to back. Well, Squirt IS citrussy. But I should say it's the best out of the one's I drink. I don't get much Squirt here in the Mtn Dew belt. Now you know what's GOOD? FRESCA!! |
