Default Moving Questions...

I'm going to be moving soon and at the new place I don't know if I can smoke on my balcony. I'm planning on smoking in the garage. I'm wondering the best way to eliminate the cigar smoke as much as possible if it is closed up during my "sessions" as to not alert the neighbors. I have a big HEPA filtration device and was thinking of also using a smoker cloaker. Anyone have success in a situation like this?

Thanks!
Brad

I smoke in the garage quite a bit. After I am done I just open the door up for an hour or so and it gets "most" of the smell out of there. My wife bought one of those plug in air fresheners and that helps too.

As far as getting rid of it completely.....you will have to burn it down

Expelling/exhausting the smoke is key.

Afterwards, an ozonator works wonders (like the Csonkas) at removing the residual odor.

I use them in the garage after I smoke and in my car.

You want to avoid being in the room while they are in use though.

I hope this helps

Today I started moving stuff into the new place. I noticed there are sprinklers in the garage but I don't see a smoke detector in there anywhere so I take it heat from a fire would set these off and not the smoke from my cigar? Any sprinkler experts?

Thanks,
Brad

Yes. It's a fire-extinguishing system consisting of a network of overhead pipes that release water automatically when a predetermined temperature has been reached.

Get a few dogs, between them and the pissing and crapping, they'll make the cigars smell like roses.

Is this a rental unit? Does it mention smoking in the agreement? Where is the garage in relation to the home? I really don't see how you can be prevented from smoking on a balcony- which is outdoors, after all!

Being allowed to smoke on the balcony would make sense, and being that he's in California would make anything that makes sense illegal.

I'll have to look, but at the shop we use several hospital grade air purifiers (which run around 1800 each I believe) that do a wonderful job of not only killing of smoke, but also help remove lingering odor in the air (does nothing for furniture and such).

If I can remember to check the model, I'll post it.
