My thieving dog!
I had just received a package from a BOTL here and still had to rearrange
my humis to make room so I set some of them on the table still in the bag. My work phone rang so I left the room for 10 minutes and when I came out, there was one package laying on the floor So I picked up my pace as I felt my BP skyrocket and when I got to the scene of the crime I saw it. There lay piles of tobacco and my about to be dead dog beating feet with tail between her legs. Well I caught her and we had a 'round, drug her a$$ back to the scene had another go 'round, and just to be sure she never lays paw on another cigar, we went at it again. Of course it was the best one that she tore to shreds. She only damaged one end of another and since I was wondering what I was going to smoke tonight, I lopped off the damaged 1/4 and went out to try to calm down. Man, my BP is still up there.

Rub her nose in the tobacco, that's how I teach my wife to stay away from my stogies

Re: My thieving dog!
Just remember, the reasons dogs are cute is so we don't kill 'em. My dogs cuteness has saved him many a time

My old dearly-departed black lab must've eaten more collars, harnesses, bike seats, hand grips and pedal grips that I can count! He even ate an entire Air Force gas mask, leaving only the metal parts as evidence! The amazing thing is he lived on to a ripe old age of 17... but it was touch and go there, a few times!

Re: My thieving dog!
Thank god my dog hates the smell of tobacco. I could give my dog a cigar and it would turn the other way. Many times I'll be smoking, set one of his favorite treats next to me and he won't even come near me. He will wait until I'm done smoking before he will take the treat.
I'll send ya some replacement smokes or a new dog

Hey, thanks for the offer, but it was my own fault, just something I was looking forward to. I'm about over it ...and no more dogs!

Re: My thieving dog!
A friend left a Monte A on my coffee table a few weeks ago n my dog had a great time with it. He's got good taste IMHO. Got a good laugh all around the next day when my friend came by to smoke it.
I prolly smoke more cigars with my dog than I do with human companions and value his company as much or more than my Brothers, I'd NEVER give him more than a stern word for ANY indiscretion.

Re: My thieving dog!
Sorry to hear that. My Boxer loves cigars as well. When he gets one of my stogies, I just chalk it up to me being a bit careless. Can't really blame them, I'd do the same thing if you left me with a bunch of stogies.
