Question about Beads in my new humidor...
Hello All!!!
I just purchased a brand new 30 Count humidor, the biggest I've ever owned up to the current date!!! Anyway, it came with a puck, you know, the kind with Oasis Plant stuff in the bottom. I popped it open, removed the oasis, and replaced it with some 65% RH Beads I purchased at my B&M. Will this 1.5 ounces of beads be sufficient for my humidor? or do I need more? Also, I wiped down the inside with distilled water, and let it sit overnight. current RH is 70% with the puck in it. What else do i need to do to season it? |

1.5 oz will be plenty, you should be good to go as far as seasoning, though a shotglass of distilled water inside with the lid shut, won't hurt.

I would also be careful about wiping it down with water. There is always the possibility that the wood could warp.

If you wipe it down use a very light mist.. be very conservative with it.
