Default Grind by hand?

I really like the idea of grinding by hand, but is it gimpy to do so?

Is a Zassenhaus the poor mans grinder because it doesn't have more computer controlled settings than a space shuttle; moreover am I going to be getting poor quality because it isn't super fancy?

Default Re: Grind by hand?

I use a vintage Armand Trosser hand grinder almost every day and I love it. Get a nice even burr grind and if you are only doing a French press or two it really isn't much work.
