Good question. It would certainly depend on weight distribution. You wouldn't want to be heavy in the a$$ end going up an incline...

Horses should not be used in deep loose snow.
Thought for the day: Smacking your horse when it's stuck in deep loose snow will not cause it to get unstuck any quicker.

That's amazing. I did a little google search, but did not find much. Hard to believe the idea did not take off. With a little work it could have been made a lot less dangerous. You would certainly be "screwed" if you fell in the screws.
