Good reference information to have. Current as of June 6, 2009

It also breaks it down to show comparisons not only state to state but it also includes snuff, chew, and cigarettes.

North Carolina is currently discussing a tax hike on tobacco and alcohol. It'll probably go through.

Last few times they tried to raise the tax on cigars, snuff, and pipe tobacco it failed. It is in the proposed 2009-2010 budget though. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I think Alaska is 75%, not Arizona... arizona looks like 20.25-218¢/10 cigars... if I'm reading this right.

I'm not sure on the % but it figures out to around a quarter per cigar here in AZ.

Arizona tobacco tax is $0.218 (21.8 cents) per cigar.
