My local Costco has "Road Shows" every other weekend. One time it's leathers coats, the next time it might be Traeger BBQ grills. The are limited time items.
Imagine my surprise when this weekend is was a "Premium Cigar Event". They had 4 or 5 pre packaged samplers, all were Dominican. One was a RyJ sampler with 2 each of 5 or 6 cigars in aluminum tubes. One was 4 or 5 Cohibas. I asked the guy which was the mildest and he pointed me to this one. For $28 how'd I do? Anybody ever smoke any of these? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

$4 a cigar, cannot go wrong really. Especially if you picked them up right there. IMO the Dominican Cohibas are way too pricey for what they are. They are just using the name to jack the price up sky high.
If you were looking for Mild - low end of medium I think you did just fine. |

Emjaysmash, lansman?
I grew up just south of you. Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory; Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly. We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation. Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown. You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down. |

For a sampler, $4 cigar for Altadis core lines, you did well. I'd say those are more medium than they are mild, but none are that strong. The Onyx and the Monte Afrique are the strongest of the bunch at a solid medium. The Don Diego is the mildest followed by the yellow box Monte (far left). The rest are in between somewhere.

My wife bought me a sampler from Costco for Christmas last year with Dominican RyJ, Upmanns, and Montes, some pretty decent sticks in there

Nadda here in Canada, though I think they may have some Backwoods. No booze either.

Is there any place I can find the special events schedule for my local Costcos? There are three near me. Two in Tustin and one in Irvine. |
