It'll be hard enough to watch to begin with, but with my Dad not doing well right now, it'll be even harder.

I thought they did a good job with the show. RIP Captain Phil.

Same here. Having lost both my parents, one within the last 2 years, I was surprised I didn't get too choked up.

RIP Capt. Phil. Good episode.
BTW - anyone else think that Capt. Keith always comes off as a complete tool?

Yes indeed R.I.P CPT Phil Harris.
That was pretty hard for me to watch given my circumstances as well. To see him in the hospital brought me back to home base with some memories that were well enough left forgotten. |

I wasn't as emotional in the final show as I thought I would be. I thought they would show more footage at the hospital and more around the circumstances of another stroke. The scenes Jake/Josh each had a chance to let it all out though was priceless. At least Phil knew that Jake was headed off to rehab before he went.

just downloaded the last 3 episodes (Discover Channel Netherlands still shows the previous season, so I have to download), can't wait to see it. Last episode I saw was the one where he just got the stroke and was carried off the boat.

It was a sad episode. I have a friend that knows all the guys on the show. She said it was difficult for the crews, he was loved by all. RIP Phil!!!

What amazed me was the quality of the After the Catch tribute. Make sure to watch that too.
In that show according to the long time Cornelia Marie Cameraman/Producer Phil called him into the recovery room and told him: "There has to be an ending". Phil knew it was over and wanted to keep them rolling the cameras. Absolutely amazing. RIP
