Found one at a local thrift shop for $5.
![]() Anyways, get home from work, start the water boiling, and go to wash the beaker. Yep, it breaks while washing and I cut my hand ![]() P.S. the reason I was so excited is because the brazil I found was the 12oz model. Perfect morning size when walking out the door. Maybe better luck next time. ![]() |

Sorry bout the breakage Eric. Yup French press glass is notoriously fragile.
On the positive side you may have saved yourself some disappointment. French Press is the least clean cup of coffee you'll get, while vac-pot is probably the exact opposite of the spectrum, probably produces the cleanest cup of Joe. Not similar at all, almost polar opposites |

While I agree with Vic...the French press can produce an exceptional cup of coffee. Make sure the grind size is right and you can clear up most of the problems.
Eric check the internet for replacement glass beakers they can be had for relatively little $. Good Luck! |
