Hello all!
Like the name suggests, I am a bit of a noob, and I'm just looking for your honest thoughts on this topic. Just recently, I got back into smoking cigars, and I bought a decent variety of smokes from an online retailer. Normally, I like a good medium bodied smoke, but I also ordered some full body cigars. Now, my question.... Should I separate cigars of varying power? My humidor has cedar dividers, and I was thinking about using those to keep them from touching. Is that suffient to keep the flavors of the full smokes from mingling with the flavors of the medium or mild smokes? Should I keep them in the cellos, too? I don't smoke a lot, and some of them may be in the humidor for a couple of years before I smoke them. Your thoughts, please? Nick |

For all your questions: It doesn't matter.
Flavors and strengths do not jump from one cigar to the other unless they are artificially flavored. As for cello, it's the most asked question on the boards and again, it doesn't matter.

Excellent! I never liked keeping them in the cello, and I was hoping that it wouldn't really matter. Of course, there is more temptation to smoke them once they are naked! ;o)

Haha! Yeah they do look good naked!
![]() Like everyone else said, don;t worry about separating them. (Unless they are infused cigars). Happy smoking!

I agree with respect to flavors "marrying". Separating them for the sake of organization is not a bad idea. Harder to do when your collection grows.
Absolutely. Cello on or off is entirely personal preference. But it seems to me that the protection it provides is well worth leaving it on.

I really do appreciate your thoughts, gang. No judgemental or pushy...just your thoughts. Thanks again!
I think that my humidor might be getting smaller by the day...lol... Maybe I need to look for another one. |

Cello is a personal preference. I prefer to leave my cigars in the cello.

Haha like dogs at the pound.
Do they give you sad cigar eyes when looking for a smoke?

I tend to keep all my cigars in their respective cello for protection. There are mountains of cigars in my humidor, and every time I choose a cigar to smoke I shuffle through them causing them to fall. However, as stated previously, they look hella sexy without their cello!
