Adjusting to the Life

I just got into this hobby. I live in a townhouse so I can't really plant in the ground. I am using several 7 gallon containers.
I've planted two tomatoes so far. Sage, Thyme and Basil next. I will probably add peppers and eggplant if I can find some seedlings. Any tips you can pass on? |

I use a potting soil in containers as it's not as solid a top soil. The potting soil with Moisture Control from Miracle Gro works great. Also becareful with watering. I find that in the hot summer the container plants dry out quicker than the ground planted veggies. Good luck.

My wife and I would like to do plant our own veggies. We live in a house and have a huge bag yard, the only problem is it is completely shade covered and the ground is full of tree roots!
