Ok i joined just the other day and have been looking through the forum constantly. Now I figured why not show you my little Humidor project. This bedside cabinet was in the attic it was my wifes and she decided to paint it some time ago before i met her. It started out as just something for me to tinker with strip it down see what we got and restain well come to find out its walnut and I have a desire for a actual humidor so as you can see in the pic's i have started stripping it down. I figured i will line the inside with cedar and pick up some cedar trays. I have a few ideas on how I want to make the doors seal up we'll see if it works out it is pretty sturdy also.
Heres the cabinet without the doors or the top ![]() Heres a little valence that goes under the doors ![]() and heres the doors and the top ![]() heres a closeup of the doors the wood has a lot of great lines in it which is very hard to see in the pic ![]() I still have a lot of sanding to do |

I'll move this to the Accessory Forum as that's where most humidor stuff is located. (It certainly not Cigar Discussion related)

Yeah it was probably nice before it got painted also it seems the top had a dark stain around the border and the center was the same color as the rest of it I'm going to try and replicate that a little when i refinish it
Well back out to the garage i'll bring the camera with me Thanks for the kind words guys |

And here it is all finished up stained and cedar lined. As you can see i didn't go with a nice showroom shine finish. The wood was rough and had a lot of knicks i did'nt want to loose that character it has so i left it with a dull finish
![]() ![]() I'm still waiting for my cedar trays and the beads i ordered to come in ![]() ![]() |
