Default Back to the Pipes

When I started into this little hobby at such a tender young age, it began with pipes. It was a Dr. Grabow from Wal-Mart and some Captain Black White in a pouch. Those were formidable years. Sitting around with tounge bite, never keeping a pipe lit. I eventually gave up and got into cigars, well, because they were easier.

But I suppose that we can only go so far from where we started, only to end up there once more. As I was puffing on a La Aroma de Cuba that was nearly two years old, bought at an event at a store I no longer frequent, I found myself wondering about my pipes. I had built up a nice little collection of pipes and tobacco over the years.

So I packed up a Mallard full of some McClelland Classic Virginia and got to puffing. I couldn't keep it lit. I almost let it bite my tounge. It was a generally not so great experience. But I realized something. I miss it. I miss smoking a pipe. I need to do that more often. At least one pipe a week. That is my resolution.

Anyway, just thought I would share this with all of you. With any luck, I might be around here more often.
