Default JR's in Burlington

Went over to Burlington to visit my brother in law while we were in NC on vacation. I think I saw something about this before, but that store has a terrible odor in it. I think it was moldy and damp smelling. I have been to the one in Selma a couple or three times and it always smelled like a cigar store oughta. Was it just me or am I right?

Never been there. Been to Statesville often, and once you get past the perfume counters it smelled just fine. Been to the one in East Hanover NJ (aka The Whip) often, and it has a few hints of stale beer from the bar, but that's all. Been to the 5th Avenue shop in Manhattan, which smelled like good cigars. Was only at the defunct Wall Street (actually it was on Pearl) once, but as this was just a month after 9/11 I need not tell you how it smelled.

Maybe Tanith or BostonMark can help you with this one, bro.

Let's see. Didn't ask about Statesville. Didn't ask about East Hanover. Didn't ask about Manhattan. Just another post to basically say you don't know. Way to add to the forum.

Greg, I have been there and smelled the same thing. Smells like a damp basement to me.
