I get some CC flavor out of Cabaiguans. Those are probably the closest I have found to the cuban flavor.

I have HEARD:
1) Tatuajes can taste like a cuban 2) Reserva Miraflors can taste like a cuban 3) Davidoffs can taste like a cuban 4) OpusX can be as complex as a cuban, haven't heard that they taste like one though That's what I have heard. Can't substantiate any of these reliably though. Cheers John |

A few years ago I had enough CCs stored up to pretty much smoke them exclusively. The only NC I would still reach for were the Bobalu '91 Dominicans. Again, this was maybe 3 years ago but they tasted great back then. |

Most of Pete Johnson's cigars are very "Cubanesque". The Cabaiguan Guapo is a very mild and complex flavor and compares favorably to many moderate cuban cigars. Nothing I have smoked provides the creaminess of some of the best cubans, but the complex flavors are getting close.

Nothing comes close IMHO
And I'm referring to nc's. No cc's taste as good as nc's to me.

![]() Make me list my top 50 cigars and the RS12's wouldn't make the list, nor would any cc. BUT it is my fav cc.

How do you define "CC taste"?

Hey Wayne, I know I can't define it, I can sorta recognize it in most CC's... My palate isn't as "refined" as many of the members here, and I might even fail a blind taste test between a CC and a NC, but I think I would note something after a few of the CC's I've had the pleasure of smoking.
My recent trip to Canada and 3 nights of herfing at LCDS really gave me an education in CC's and their flavor. I had a whole box of NC's which I could hardly unload on my fellow Canadian BOTL's.... ![]() ![]()

Okay. Now within the past day or two I have had a couple of cigars that reminded me of CCs to some extent.
1. Hoyo De Tradicion: the first taste of the wrapper has the same sweetness as some CCs. The rest of the smoke is only freaking awesome. 2. La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial: A lot of flavor, but for some reason, or another I had to put it down. Very decent smoke. |
