Getting ready to cut the grass and all to make the yard look nice for the weekend. I'm also putting a couple of racks of ribs on the smoker low and slow around 1000 (10 AM) for six hours. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's a nice weather day here in the Hudson Valley. Congrats to the Yankees on their win yesterday and for sweeping the series with the Phillies. The Bombers are off today and will be taking on the Blue jays this weekend at home starting tomorrow evening at 1905 (7:05 PM). Later on today, we'll be heading over to the Aroma Cigar Room in Monroe, NY to smoke a couple of stogies and all. Enjoy your day everyone and we hope to see a few of the local S/BOTL as well......

Good morning everyone, the espresso is on and it's a hot and muggy Saturday morning here in the Hudson Valley. I've got to head out shortly as I have a VA eye doctor's appointment in Union, NJ at 1100 (11 AM). The VA initially had me going to a doctor in Staten Island but I called and asked to reschedule for a location not in the city. Enjoy your weekend all and stay cool.......

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's a nice start to a new week. Before it gets to hot and sticky out, I'm going to cut the grass this morning, weed whack and all that jazz. Yesterday, Beth and I mostly relaxed out back in the gazebo enjoying cold beer, cigars and burgers on the grill. Congrats to the Yankees on their win yesterday as they took 2 out of 3 from the Blue Jays this weekend. Enjoy everyone.....

Good morning everyone, the espresso is on and we're halfway thru the week already. Yesterday was a pretty easy day starting with doing some shopping with Beth and then smoking some chicken wings on the smoker. I enjoyed a couple of cigars and a few cold ones while the wings were low and slow on the smoker. I see that the last night's Yankees game got rain delayed until today at 1605 (4:05 PM), hopefully they get both games today as it doesn't look today either. I hope you all stay dry and enjoy......

We had a great time at the Connecticut Barn Smoker this past Saturday, the entire Drew Estate family to include Jonathan Drew, Willy Herrera, Pedro Gomez, etc., took care of us very well. Yesterday, Beth and I went to a local winery called Oceane Vineyards that was top notch:

Good morning all, the coffee is on and most of the morning chores are done. Yesterday, Beth and I went out for an afternoon luncheon with her brother and sister in-law to one of our favorite places in town that is now reopened with a new owner:

Beth and I are going up to Kingston, NY later on this morning to ride the Rip Van Winkle II River Boat up and down the Hudson and we'll stop by one of our favorite breweries (Keegan's Ale) afterwards. It was good to see the Yankees win again yesterday and stay neck and neck with the Orioles and be 1.5 games ahead of them. The NASCAR racers are in Daytona this weekend with only 2 races left until the playoffs begin. This is the last weekend of preseason NFL, yeah baby, bring it on. This afternoon, Beth and I are going to West Point to tailgate prior to this evening's season opener Army football game against Lehigh University. Go Army! Also this weekend, the Yankees are back home taking on the St. Louis Cardinals and the NASCAR racers are at Darlington (SC) Raceway with racing tomorrow afternoon and Sunday evening.
