Re: Blazer Torch CG-001 vs. Little Buddy
The CG-001 and PB-207 have the same burner arrangement. The Little Buddy is different. I don't remember if is a good or bad thing, it's just a difference.
Flame adjustment on the CG-001 and PB-207 is a bit tricky with fat fingers. It's a small "switch" on the sides of the burner. Not easy to get at when lit (hot). The Little Buddy would be easier to adjust the flame when lit since the dial is on the bottom of the tank.
The PB-207 and Little Buddy have the "flame lock" where engaging a switch holds the igniter button down. No "flame lock" on the CG-001.
On the Little Buddy the cap opens automatically when the igniter button is pushed. To that point, I wouldn't remove the child safety.
While the cap on the CG-001 isn't automatic, one could easily flick it open with a thumb. No child safety on the CG-001.
My choice: I went with the CG-001 because the casing gives a bit more protection to the burner and fuel tank. While the cap on the CG-001 is somewhat bulky when opened, it does help with wind deflection and I haven't had any issues with it staying open or being in the way.
P.S. - Don't get a clear CG-001 because it has a slight yellowish tint and is not a true clear. And don't get a silver CG-001 because the silver finish isn't as durable.
