There's E-Z-Curl barls for that kind of weight and reguardless... Do you really know anyone who needs to be spotted by a power rack during curls? The idea of the rack is to keep the weight from crushing you when you fail an attempt.
Last I checked, failing during a curl rep isn't very life threatening.
