Re: Who wants to review?
I'd love to review cigars, however, I fear I don't have a "sophisticated" enough palate. When I like a cigar, I like it. I get lost when folks mention the tastes of "leather, coffee, spice, etc.," when they do a review. Taste is important, but I can't say a cigar "tastes" like anything but a cigar. Sorry.
I have learned that the heavy nicotine sticks are not for me and that a dark Maduro cigar doesn't necessarily equate to a heavy or unpleasant smoke. I discovered that I love the Ashton Maduro's. They are a really nice smoke (although expensive) and lighter on the nicotine. I have learned that the draw and ash are also important. And last, bang for the buck. If I could find a "White Owl" cigar that tasted and smoked like the Ashton, but cost 1/4 of what an Ashton costs, I would buy a boat load. I am sure anyone would. A label is just that, a label.
I do think cigars are expensive, unnecessarily. However, so is Johnny Walker Blue and neither of those I will do without.
It's funny what we all are willing to spend money on, yes?
