Re: Official NFL Football Thread
As an original Houston/Tennessee fan, I'm a bit sad after the loss today.
I know I shouldn't have been, and wish the lost came against the NFC (I'd much rather have lost to GB, Minnesota, or Chicago)... I remember the last team to lose one game all year long, and I'm sure that the Patriots loyal fans would have preferred the loss to come in November.
Jeff Fisher is probably the best head coach in the game, and he'd be much more likely to put starters up on the shelf once home field was clenched.
A few thoughts on the game:
Tennessee's running game was absent again today, and the defense gave up a bit more 'short yardage' passes than they should have.
Brett Favre is still a real threat, and the J E T S are one game closer to winning one of the toughest divisions in football.
Kerry Collins is still the answer to the QB non-controversy. I felt sorry for the Titans receivers who kept getting hit directly on the hands and between the numbers all day.
I'm pulling hard for the Chargers tonight. Would be nice to lock down the division sooner so that guys can rest.
