Very good beer, but not great IMO. They did a good job keeping it balanced though,
usually beer put into spirit barrels are higher alcohol and/or strongly flavored (porters, stouts, barleywines, etc.) but Dead Guy isn't really like that. It had a very subtle flavor of whiskey/oak to it. I tried it at the Jupiter Beer Festival a couple weeks ago, it was at the bottom of the beer list and when I asked for it the guy put his fingers over his lips as if to say, keep it quiet, guess they didn't have much of it. Anyway, worth a purchase but I would not knock down women and small children to get more of it.
