I grew up in Virginia Beach - not far from the back gate of Oceana. Being Navy brats - we use to ride our bikes there, the guards would let us ride to the end of the runway (off the side on the grass) where we would just lay there for hours watching the Phantoms and other planes take off and land.

This was back in the 60's when you could do stuff like that. Use to love going to see shows and stuff there. Oceana, Backbay, Little Creek - great times as a kid.
