I find it amazing that there are no groups organized to get the law changed. I think that some national groups will focus here, but local, grassroots support seems to be thin at best.
If it were me and I was at a public venue that was designated (as I understand the course is) as non-smoking, I'd not smoke because I happen to be one for following the law even if I disagree.
Still, can you think of any better way for SF to get out the message to as many people as possible as to what the rules are than to fine MJ? It is gonna be hard for any golfers to say "I didn't know" after this and avoid the fine.
Some celebs think that they are above the law. Hope MJ isn't one of them.
