Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
I have the SG5 and thinks it's great. You get to see where the hazards are and the distance. I find it really useful when laying up and when I'm inside a 75 yards for club selection. Some courses don't have yardage markers or they are difficult to locate. The Bushnell laser scope is a good choice when you can see the pin and I know several people who swear by it. If there's a downside to the SG5, it would be that I'm not very good at using it and it can slow down play when I press the wrong button. It was a gift from my wife for my birthday last September and I only got to use it a couple of times before the cold weather set in. You might want to check to see if the local courses you play are available before purchasing.
