Re: Cameroon Wrapper reccomendations
In addition to another box of the Aladinos, I picked up the New Worlds and also the Nicaraguan Factory Selects Cameroon Toro from Famous.
I am very pleasantly surprised at the Factory Selects; they were less than $2 a stick on sale and smoke as well as or better than the New Worlds. Maybe even better because I'm not really a fan of the box press. Also, the FS was much better after some rest than fresh off the truck.
Ai wrote this for me and I think I agree:
It sounds like you're having a great cigar haul, finding the Nicaraguan Factory Selects Cameroon Toro surprisingly good for the price, offering great value comparable to or even better than the pricier New World Cameroon from AJ Fernandez, delivering balanced spice, sweetness, earth, and coffee notes with a great Cameroon wrapper for a steal.
Here's a breakdown of what you're enjoying:
Aladino Cigars: A Honduran brand known for rich, traditional flavors.
New World Cameroon (AJ Fernandez): A premium Nicaraguan cigar with a unique Cameroon wrapper, known for a balanced blend of spice, sweetness, wood, and coffee notes.
Nicaraguan Factory Selects Cameroon Toro: A budget-friendly option (under $2/stick!) that punches above its weight, offering a similar enjoyable experience to the New World, with great flavor for the price.
You're hitting on a great point: sometimes those "factory seconds" or budget lines offer incredible value and quality, rivaling their more expensive counterparts!
If you enjoy this profile, you might also want to check out the Oliva Factory Selects Cameroon when they go on sale, as they offer a similar "under the radar" value for Cameroon fans.
Enjoy your excellent finds!
