I opened the Clark & Sheffield BS last night, James. There is absolutely nothing "1792" about it. Rye spice and pepper at first, after it opened up a bit there was a hint of dark fruit sweetness, but not enough to damper the spice. I'll pay the extra $15 MSRP all day for 1792 FP over this one.
On a positive note, I found out the JD Heritage single barrel is from Coy Hill, which is a good thing.
