One of the few times that I was glued to the TV for days on end. After a few days I was emotionally drained. I went outside one night and just sat there on the porch enjoying the quiet when I swore I heard an airplane overhead. I look up and start scanning the night sky and I spotted the lights from a pair of fighter jets that were patrolling the area. I never thought I'd see the day when that would happen on American soil.
