Went over to a friends house to crack open some wild turkey decanters, I went with one from 1972 that ended up being one of the darkest bourbon's I've seen but still clear, we gave it a taste and it's impressive, at first it was a little bitter in the back but a few minutes in the glass opened up to a world of flavors from oak to fruit salad to floral bouquet. He then opened one from the 80's and it was totally different, coated the tongue in juicy fruit gum. Decanters are always a gamble, I got a bad one once, but these were not bad ones
