I'm always worried when something has a reputation. I recently bought a box of
My Father Le bijou from my Mohawk friends in Ontario, and lit the first one with some trepidation for the first time today.
The cigar is a gorgeous dark maduro (Equador habano). Silky soft, slight oily sheen - wonderful pre-light aroma of old comfy leather chairs and a gentler time. The burn is even until the last 1/3, when it started to canoe a bit. The cigar is generous and creamy, with sweet cinnamon, slight pepper. This has to be one of the nicest NCC's I have smoked. Absolutely delicious.
