That's a sad, sad story about Matt Harvey. Hopefully he comes through Tommy John's real well.
I was looking at his stats last night. 26 starts. An ERA under 2.30. A whip around .9, which hasn't happened to a pitcher under the age of 24 for eons, and there's only about 1/2 dozen guys that have EVER put a number up like that in the live ball era. Big names.
And his W/L is 9/5.
I would go so far as to venture a guess that these numbers indicate that the Mets batting is not all that good.
