Disclaimer - If you are reading this and you're anywhere but in northern IL, you are missing one great tournament.
The targets, amazing. The people, amazing. My shooting, not so much. If I broke 50 I'd be surprised, but somehow I managed to run station 8 in the prelim with five other people. That's right, I stink up the place and then run one of the toughest stations on the course.
Afterwards John Krumrey, Tom Sweeney, John Estep, Dr. Paula Benbow, Rod Vetter and I shared a few cold beers, a couple of cigars, and the hottest horseradish I've ever tasted.
I've been pepper sprayed by the CHP, and it burned less. And John Krumrey is a real life MacGyver. You think you want to be stranded on a dessert island with a supermodel, but trust me, it's John Krumrey.
