A couple years ago the cops were trying to pull over a car here in SD, the guy got on the highway and started throwing cash out the window, Tens of thousands of dollars, no one knows how much, cars stopping all over the highway and people picking up cash. (As I recall the car they were trying to pull over got away)
Never did find out who they were or where the money came from, guessing drugs, but they asked people to turn in any money they picked up ... yah I'm sure that worked, people were grabbing it off the ground while the tv stations interviewed them
