gah, I love multiple levels of incompetence...
Called UPS a few weeks ago, spoke to a guy in the haz mat department. Got all the specifics for how to ship ammo. Certain box strength, level, etc. Then take it to a UPS service center (hub).
Took it to the hub today.
"oh no, we can't take that here" .... "try taking it to the gun store down the street, they have the right account for that."
took it to the gun store, talked to the owner.
"just take it to the post office, and don't tell them what it is. There's not restrictions on shipping ammo anyway. Guns yes, but ammo no."

bloody frickin incompetent lot of em...
So my choices are down to
A) Flat rate box at the post office.
B) Take it to the UPS stare, call it precision machine parts, and call it a day.
C) Sign up for a Hazmat business account with UPS and pay $10/week (required) for a weekly scheduled pickup at my house.
Leaning towards B...
