I'd originally read about these calibers back in the late 80's, and I was trying to remember if it was in Shooting Times magazine or another periodical that first wrote about the .500 and .475 Linebaugh revolvers. They are both very impressive and powerful handguns. Most people at the time (including yours truly) handloaded our own rounds for our various calibers. Don't know if there are commercial loads for the Linebaugh as there may be for the Smith .500.

Anyways, there are quite a number of articles out there on the Linebaugh worth perusing if you're planning on adding this piece to your collection...
