Murphy's Law of Shootin' Irons says that when something breaks on a firearm you will NOT have the correct parts with you, and/or all the tools needed to do the repairs.
Seriously, from years of attending matches and other recreational shooting on road trips, that's been my experience. Heck it's even been known to happen closer to home. But
never while at a store/range that had the exact part needed in stock.
