Re: Why's temperatures important for cigars?
I had the same question some time ago, about lower than 70 temps. There's really no problem with that. The concern is having temps over 75 for a day or more. The dreaded beetles can hatch and ruin your cigars.
The one thing I am almost 99% certain, but no one has confirmed this to me, is that the lower temps will slow down the aging process. So, I believe, that it will take longer for your smokes to get to the same point in it's flavor profile at a lower temp.
But then again, I'm fairly new to this.
Anybody else?
