Been a 4-5 years since I shopped for photo editing software - ended up with Ulead and Photoshop (don't know/remember versions.) Both were slow and interfaces were cumbersome. Was never really satisfied with either.
I'm hoping that PaintShopPro or Photoshop Elements will do me ok for now.
Acknowledge the HD size. Will look at that. Any reason not to go with external down the road?

Don't even bother with paying for that kind of stuff.
If you are going to need about 75% of what photoshop or lightroom could do, go and get gimp. It is free works great right now and getting better all the time. They do a fantastic job and I was actually very close to switching to it and getting rid of Adobe all together.
