Tubos are really nice for bringing a cigar somewhere to smoke without having to bring a travel humi, but if you're storing stuff in a humi at home and smoking at home the extra protection isn't that important. It's important to note that the cedar in a tubo, just like cedar sleeves on other cigars, has the potential to grow mold depending on what environment it was stored in before it got to you. I'm paranoid about that stuff now since I've had moldy Anejos and Liberties (the 09 I think had tissue paper around the cigar in the coffin, all three I got were completely moldy).
